Funding Opportunities
Modern Apprenticeships
-
JB Management, with the help of Skills Development Scotland, offer individuals the chance to gain invaluable industry recognised accreditations - including SVQs and NVQs - through Modern Apprenticeships training.
Skills Development Scotland can provide funding for Modern Apprenticeship programme. The only investment candidates and employers need to make is time and effort. The Modern Apprenticeship programme can bring enormous rewards, in the form of improved self-confidence, competence, efficiency and motivation.
What is involved?
A Modern Apprenticeship provides candidates with vocational training that is relevant to them, the company and chosen industry. The scheme isn't only relevant to traditional industries - Modern Apprenticeships are available in a number of sectors, with the format of training decided by the appropriate SVQ or NVQ for that sector.
Apprentices are encouraged to progress through the various levels of qualification available, although this isn't the only focus of the training. A Modern Apprenticeship will also enahnce a range of 'soft skills' to draw upon, including sound communication, teamwork, problem solving, numerical and IT skills - all of which are invaluable to any employer.
A Modern Apprenticeship may be completed within a time period that's suitable to the candidate and employer. In most cases, apprentices work towards a SVQ of Level 2 or above.

Employer Recruitment Incentive
-
Give an individual a great start - and get up to £2000 for your business.
Finding a job in the current economic climate can be challenging. Therefore it is only common sense to assume that this could be much more challenging for individuals with barriers. Circumstances like being unemployed can make it difficult to get started. This where the Employer Recruitment Incentive can support candidates and organisations. If an employer recruits someone as an employee or a Modern Apprentice it could be eligible to receive a grant up to £2000.
To qualify for this incentive businesses will have to employ an individual who has been unemployed or has faced barriers in the past.
-
