Their task would be to promote a positive culture of health and safety, by setting up safe systems, and developing a safety policy to satisfy the company's obligations under current legislation.
Should take around 6-12 months to complete. Leading to membership of IOSH. (Tech IOSH).

In order to achieve the award, you must be successful in achieving 7 Units:

5 Mandatory Units:
HSS 1 Make sure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
HSS 2 Develop procedures to safely control work operations
HSS 3 Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
HSS 4 Promote a healthy and safe culture within the workplace
HSS 6 Conduct a health and safety assessment of a workplace

2 Optional Units from the following:
HSS 5 Investigate and evaluate health and safety incidents and complaints in the workplace
HSS 7 Make sure your own actions within the workplace aim to protect the environment
HSS 8 Review health and safety procedure in workplaces
HSS 9 Supervise the health, safety and welfare of a learner in the workplace
