Learning and Development Jb Management

Learning and Development

The SVQ qualifications in Learning and Development are designed for those working in learning and development. The Learning and Development qualifications contribute to improving candidate training skills, enabling them to deliver high quality training. Candidates will gain the skills needed to plan and provide appropriate training to individuals internal or external to their organisation.

Learning and Development - Level 3 SVQ

The Level 3 SVQ is designed for candidates who have worked in a learning and development role for a period of time. Candidates may be looking to progress to a management position. Candidates must complete 6 units for this qualification. This comprises of 3 mandatory units and 3 optional.

Learning and Development - Level 4 SVQ

The Level 4 SVQ is designed for candidates who are involved in the management of the learning and development provision. Candidates may wish to gain a further insight into evaluating the learning and development needs of their organisation. Candidates must complete 8 units for this qualification. This comprises of 3 mandatory units and 5 optional.

Assessor & Verifier Awards

The Assessor and Verifier Awards are designed for people who want to assess SVQ/NVQ candidates. Candidates will gain the skills needed for collecting and judging evidence of competence.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Candidates' Performance

Candidates will complete 4 core units:

  • Develop plans for assessing competence with candidates
  • Judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions
  • Provide feedback and support to candidates on assessment decisions
  • Contribute to the internal quality assurance process

Award in Assessing Candidates' Performance Through Observation

Candidates complete 4 core units:

  • Agreeing and review plans for assessing candidates' performance
  • Assessing candidates' performance against the agreed standards
  • Assessing candidates' knowledge against the agreed standards
  • Making an assessment decision and provide feedback

Level 4 Award in Conducting Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process

Candidates complete 1 core unit:

  • Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process.
