Management is relevant across all sectors and the levels available allow a wide range of personnel within the organisation to embark on an SVQ & NVQ.
Candidates working towards an SVQ & NVQ must prove their knowledge and understanding and also the competencies of what makes a manager. On completion of the qualification, candidates will have a knowledge range of all the important functions of management.
Management Qualifications - Level 3 SVQ & NVQ
The Level 3 qualification is aimed at Supervisors and first line managers who have some responsibility for allocating work to others and have some limited opportunity for making decisions. Associate Membership of the Institute of Leadership and Management is an option to candidates achieving the Level 3 qualification. This qualification should take around 6-12 months to complete.
Management Qualifications - Level 4 SVQ & NVQ
The Level 4 qualification is for practicing middle managers who have responsibility for allocating work, achieving specific results, carrying out policy, controlling limited financial budgets and contributing to organisational change and recruitment. Membership of ILM and the Chartered Management Institute can by applied for on completion of the Level 4. This qualification should take around 6-12 months to complete.
Management Qualifications - Level 5 SVQ & NVQ
The Level 5 qualification is aimed at senior managers who have operational responsibility for substantial programmes and resources, have a broad span of control, pro-actively identifies and implements change, negotiates budgets and contracts and leads high level meetings.
Membership / Fellowship of ILM and CMI can be applied for along with relevant experience on completion of the Level 5. This qualification should take around 6-12 months to complete.
