Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management plays an important factor on the economy, and is a function that has changed drastically over the past 20 years.
This qualification is aimed at those employees involved in Supply Chain Management, throughout various industries, giving them the skills to ensure their company benefits, thus maintaining their position in an ever changing marketplace. Typical employees undertaking the qualification will be:
Shop floor team leaders, Stores team leaders, Planning engineers, Distribution Staff, Import / Export Staff and Transport and Distribution Staff.
Supply Chain Management - Level 2 SVQ
Level 2 is an entry level qualification for people involved in a broader range of basic SCM work activities. E.g. Purchasing Clerk. This qualification should take around 6-9 months to complete.
Supply Chain Management - Level 3 SVQ
Level 3 is aimed at people involved in carrying out a broad range of varied SCM work activities, including the possibility of controlling or supervising others. E.g. Team leader. This qualification should take around 6-12 months to complete.
Supply Chain Management - Level 4 SVQ
Level 4 is aimed at people involved in complex technical or professional SCM work activities including managing staff e.g. Supply Chain Manager, Export Manager. This qualification should take around 6-12 months to complete.
The Level 4 NVQ in Supply Chain Management will provide a route to membership of the following professional bodies: (Dependant on Optional Units chosen).
Supply Chain Management - Level 5 SVQ
Level 5 is aimed at people involved in carrying out a significant range of SCM at middle / senior management level. E.g. Supply Chain Director.
This qualification should take around 12-24 months to complete. Qualification at SVQ level 5 in SCM will provide membership of CIPS & will equate in level to a Masters Degree.
