Supply Chain Management - Level 5 SVQ

Level 5 is aimed at people involved in carrying out a significant range of SCM at middle / senior management level. E.g. Supply Chain Director.
Qualification at SVQ level 5 in SCM will provide membership of CIPS & will equate in level to a Masters Degree.

Mandatory units

Candidates must complete all of these units:

• Develop a Supply Chain Strategy for the Organisation
• Establish Strategic Relationships within the Supply Chain
• Improve the Performance of the Supply Chain
• Provide Leadership for your Organisation

Optional units

Candidates must also complete 4 of the following units:
either 3 units from Group 1 and 1 unit from Group 2;
or 2 units from Group 1 and 2 units from Group 2 in addition to the mandatory units

• Commission Projects to Develop the Supply Chain
• Plan the Flow of Supplies through the Supply Chain
• Plan the Procurement of Supplies
• Plan the Storage of Supplies in the Supply Chain
• Plan the Distribution of Supplies
• Plan the Transportation of Supplies
• Plan the Export and Import of Supplies

Group 2

• Plan the Workforce
• Manage Finance for your Area of Responsibility
• Build your Organisation’s Understanding of its Market and Customer
